Tackle the Tour/T-Shirt Contest


Here at jarchives, we're all about history... Jars of Clay history... dating from just yesterday to all the way back to 1994! Wow, that's a long time!! This contest will surely test your knowledge of swag, threads, and merch (that's industry talk for t-shirts!) Try to match the t-shirt fronts (1-15) to their matching tour name, special occasion, or best explanation below... For example (1 goes with B), etc. Be aware that some of the answers below may be used more than once.



T-shirt contest clues!

A: A historical shirt which was first sold in Spring of 1996 during Jars' tour with Michael W. Smith. Also known as the Tour '96 shirt

B: This shirt made its debut on the merch table during the first leg of The Bubblemaker's Dream Tour in 1997, around September 16, 1997.

C: This t-shirt is not an "official" Jars of Clay shirt at all. However, it is often passed off as such on Ebay and imparts a wonderful message.

D: One of the most recent tour shirts, sold at the last few shows of the Three O'Clock Parade Tour in Fall 2000.

E: One of Jars' first official tour shirts available in late 1995 while Jars joined PfR on their "Them" tour.

F:  A special issue shirt to Christian Bookstores and radio stations for the promotion of a new Jars of Clay album. (not an official tour shirt)

G:  Tour on a Stick shirt in Fall of 1996.

H:   T-shirt sold on the second half of the Bubblemaker's Dream Tour in early 1998.

I:  Shirt designed for Jars' management and road crew for the jokingly named tour, "The Devil Made Me Tour," reflecting a tongue in cheek jab at Jars' relentless tour schedule in late 1998.

J:  Jars of Clay shirt often referred to as "The Classic." It has transcended most all of Jars' tours.

K: A special issue shirt distributed to Christian Bookstores celebrating Jars' self-titled album reaching Platinum status! (not an offical tour shirt)

L: This shirt first debuted on the Colliding Rhinos tour with Burlap to Cashmere and David Wilcox.

M: This is the official t-shirt of the Jars of Clay Fan Club.
