Jars of Clay in The Philippines

I met Dan, Steve and Charlie at a Mall here in Manila at around 11am. They were shopping and I approached them, talked a little and they sign my five cds. Dan remembered me. They are so down-to-earth. The night at the concert, I got there at around 7pm with my friends. The concert started at around 8pm and the front act played, a local band, they are my friends, Barbie's Cradle and it was great. Barbie, the lead vocals is also a Jars of Clay freak. She was so excited... They had a fast set and when it's time for Jars to play the crowd went crazy, shouting, screaming and everything you can imagine. They started with I Need You. Everyone's singing and when the old songs are played the crowd was in chorus...

It was a great night, I was shouting, screaming, jumping all over and dancing. I don't care what they say. This is my favorite band and I'm so happy that I'm seeing them live playing their songs... They played very old songs since it's their first time in the Philippines. Dan asked a couple to come up on stage and sing the song Unforgetful You. After singing the song with the band, he guy said he has a surprise and then he knelt down. Steve holds the mic, and then the guy proposes to his girlfriend and said like we've been together for ten years.... and said will you marry me and the girl said yes... It was so romantic..

The crowd went nuts when they played Tea And Sympathy. It's the most requested song ever in mainstream radio here, until now.. You can see the crowd and the light of their cellphones in the dark like they are holding and waving candles while Tea and Sympathy played... It was their last song, the highlight of the concert. Well, we had fun, got all my sweat out, had no more voice... It was a blast!... overjoyed! Wish they'd come back here again. Dan said that they promise that all their cds will be released here from now on... Woohoo! Thanks Dan!
