MATT ODMARK HONORED BY GIBSON Congratulations to Matt Odmark of Jars of Clay for winning the 2001 Gibson Guitar Award for Best Acoustic Guitarist. On Wednesday, February 21st, some of the world's top guitarists assembled at Los Angeles's Peterson Automotive Museum for what is known to be the "Oscars" of the guitar industry, the 2001 Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards. Other categories included Best Rock Guitarist, Best Jazz Guitarist, and Best Bassist. Matt was amongst the four nominees for Best Acoustic Guitarist, which included Bon Jovi, Beck, and Bob Dylan. This is an incredible honor for Matt to be recognized with some of the greatest guitar players in the world! The Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards financially benefit the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation which helps autistic children via music therapy.
