    THE BLACK RING: FAKE FRAILS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In the late 90s and early 2000s, Jars of Clay’s popularity could be measured by the selling price of rare and out-of-print memorabilia\u00a0on eBay. Special releases like the Seatbelt Tuba<\/em> edition of Much Afraid<\/em> went for $20-50, while even more obscure releases like Front Yard Luge<\/em> sold for $200! But for all the money being spent on t-shirts, posters, singles, and other rarities, it paled in comparison to what people were willing to spend on\u00a0Frail.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Limited to only 1,500 copies, Frail<\/em> was – and still is – the holy grail of\u00a0Jars of Clay collectibles. Superfans would actively browse eBay for new listings, oftentimes paying super prices along the way. Unfortunately, due the popularity of this item, sellers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other locations took it upon themselves to begin selling bootleg copies of Frail<\/em> on eBay.
