Clean Water for 1,000 Families
Speaking of Blood:Water, the band traveled to Atlanta this week for an on-air fundraiser at 104.7 The Fish. In a single afternoon, listeners raised enough money to provide a lifetime supply of clean water for 1,000 families!

July Freebie: 14,000 Feet
This month’s freebie is a rare instrumental called 14,000 Feet.

sputnik
14,000 Feet was co-produced by Mitch Dane in 2002 as a demonstration recording for Electro Harmonix. The track was featured on Electro Harmonix’s website for a short time to give potential customers an example of the sounds produced by their products. (Note from Mike: the track has long been missing from Electro Harmonix’s website, so I can’t quite remember which product it’s supposed to demo. I believe it was for a bass effects pedal – if you can remember what it was, send us an e-mail!)

Interestingly enough, the title of the song conflicts with an audio sample found within the recording: the track was released under the name “14,000 Feet,” but the audio sample clearly says “1,400 feet; still looking very good.” Was the track mis-labeled? The world may never know…
